Handling & Transportable Munition

HANDLING & TRANSPORTABLE MUNITION

Weapons are, in principle, considered to be inaccessible. They are therefore considered to be non-transportable until a competent person for the means of transport declares them fit for transportation.

The investigation as to whether a weapon is capable of handling and transporting is, according to DGUV Rule 113-003 (previously BGR 114) Annex 5 by the person responsible in each case (pursuant to § 19 SprengG) who holds a certificate of competency pursuant to § 20 SprengG In the evaluation of the means of combat. The basic principle is that all means of warfare with pretensioned and / or all-acting ignition devices, as well as all bombed bombs, shall be classified as non-handling and transportable.
